2012 WSPA Quilt Raffle

Each year WSPA conducts a raffle to raise money for scholarships. This years raffle is a quilt project, which was started in 2006 with the gathering of squares. Squares were donated by over a dozen WSPA members and Arleen Coleson lovingly assembled and quilted this beautiful work of art. We are very excited to present this to the soaring community, and looking forward to it finding a loving and appreciative home.

RAFFLE TICKETS WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE AT THE SSA CONVENTION IN RENO, January 31 when the Instructor Clinic begins through February 4.

The drawing for the quilt will take place at the Women Soaring Pilots Association Annual Meeting at the Women Soaring Seminar in Benton, TN during the last week in June.

Colleen asked me to measure the quilt for you. It is a small quilt, good for a twin bed or better for a wall hanging or a couch throw.

It is approximately 48 by 64 inches and has a sleeve sown in the back so that the quilt can be hung.

the raffle ticket sale is going very slowly. I sold the last tickets a month ago at the Senior Championship in Florida. Unfortunately a medical emergency kept me from going to the Perry contest which is running at the moment. Remember, these raffles benefit our scholarship funds.
